  Kristian has over 20 years experience working with the Canada Revenue Agency specializing in excise duty. He has held various key position within the Excise Department, including Officer, Technical Advisor, Team Leader and Regional Manager for the Pacific Region. He was 1 of 5 National Regional managers to implement the legalization of Cannabis through the Cannabis Act and Excise Act, 2001 on October 17, 2018. In 2002, as a small business auditor, he was chosen to be part of the implementation team for Excise Act, 2001. In addition to Cannabis Kristian has vast audit and compliance experience in the liquor industry auditing breweries, wineries, and distilleries on excise duty compliance.

  Kristian is widely respected in the liquor and cannabis industries for his technical knowledge and deep understanding of the complexities of all the federal and provincial regulations. This knowledge gained over the last 20 years has allowed him to develop a network of longstanding relationships with government agencies and regulatory officials at all levels (federal, provincial, municipal)

  Nancy worked her way up the ranks from Senior Auditor when she joined the BC Liquor Distribution Branch in 2008, to Senior Manager in Corporate Audit in 2016, before becoming the Finance Director of Regulatory and Compliance in 2021. Prior to her career in public service, she worked at a medium-sized accounting firm for six years with a focus on audits. To be effective in her role leading senior auditors, Nancy draws on her 20 years of experience and knowledge garnered from her multiple professional designations: Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, and Certified Fraud Examiner. She is committed to continually improving government relations with B.C. wineries, distilleries, and breweries in the business area of regulatory compliance. Nancy enjoys trying local craft beer in sunny destinations where she may find herself vacationing from time to time. Some exotic locales she has visited include Vietnam, China, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.
