BC Green Business
BC Green Business is a non-profit certification program that provides recommendations to businesses that identify practical and affordable actions to enhance their sustainability performance. For breweries, we use our Food & Beverage Processors checklist to properly assess their operations and provide appropriate recommendations. Businesses can be certified as Silver, Gold, or Green (the highest level) and, in eligible regions, can also be certified as an Ocean Friendly Business based on ‘Surfrider Approved’ actions that focus on direct and positive impact for our oceans and waterways.
We’ve recently expanded the program provincewide after 10 years of operating as the Vancouver Island Green Business Collective and working with breweries such as Whistle Buoy, Vancouver Island Brewing, Small Gods, and many more.
