Leila Farmer is a Director with Global Public Affairs and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Global’s Victoria office. She provides strategic government relations counsel, stakeholder engagement, and communications support, with a focus on the Energy, Environment and Resources, and Health and Life Sciences sectors. During her time at Global, Leila has successfully planned, delivered and implemented multiple government relations engagement plans, media training for government and industry representatives, and advocacy training sessions.
Prior to joining Global, Leila held a variety of roles with the B.C. government, including being a Chief of Staff for the Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation, a Director in the Premier’s Office, and an Issues Manager in Government Communications and Public Engagement. She has also worked and volunteered on municipal, provincial, and federal election campaigns. This experience, as well as her time working as a Research and Communications Officer with the BC NDP Official Opposition, means that Leila brings an in-depth knowledge of the province’s political landscape to her work with Global. Leila earned an Honours Degree in Political Science from the University of Victoria.
