Nancy More brewed her first beer 40 years ago and has been exploring and having fun in the brewing industry ever since. She started in the technical training program for Labatt Breweries and worked from one coast of Canada to the other in progressively more senior operations positions including being the first female head brewmaster in North America. Adventure beckoned and she moved to Russia to improve technical and quality capabilities across Eastern Europe. She headed up Brewing Product and Process Development for Interbrew with teams in Korea, Belgium, and Canada. In 2005, she joined International Beer Supply with Diageo (Guinness), focused on Africa, the Caribbean, North America, and Asia. After her return to Canada, she continued her passion for developing the next generation of brewers, working with Kwantlen Polytechnic University in the start-up of the Brewing and Brewery Operations program. In her “non-beer” life, she can be found kayaking, skiing, and volunteering for not-for-profit organizations.
